Arsenal vs Coventry City 6-1 Capital One Cup 27 September 2012. Penyerang Olivier Giroud mencetak satu gol dan satu assist yang ikut menentukan kemenangan Arsenal 6-1 atas Coventry City pada pertandingan putaran ketiga Piala Liga, di Emirates, kamis (27/9/2012). Itu adalah gol pertama Giroud untuk Arsenal semenjak dibeli dari Montpellier, 1 Juli 2012.
Giroud membobol gawang tim tamu pada menit ke-39. Gol bermula dari pergerakan Francis Coquelin di sektor kanan pertahanan Coventry yang berujung umpan ke tengah kotak penalti. Dengan kaki kirinya, Giroud menembakkan bola ke sudut kiri bawah gawang Joe Murphy.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain mengubah angka di papan skor menjadi 2-0 pada menit ke-57. Gol ini lagi-lagi merupakan buah serangan dari sektor kanan pertahanan Coventry. Oxlade Chamberlain menaklukkan Martinez dengan tembakan kaki kanan, yang membuat bola kiriman Andrei Arshavin melesat ke tengah gawang Murphy.
Lima menit setelahnya, giliran Arshavin masuk daftar pencetak gol. Dari tengah kotak penalti, ia melesatkan bola kiriman Giroud ke sudut kiri bawah gawang Murphy, dengan tendangan kaki kanan.
Theo Walcott membawa Arsenal unggul 4-0 pada menit ke-74. Memanfaatkan umpan Nicholas Yennaris, Walcott menaklukkan Murphy dengan tendangan kaki kanan dari tengah kotak penalti.
Coventry memangkas jarak menjadi 1-4 melalui Callum Ball pada menit ke-78. Setelah menguasai umpan Carl Baker, Ball mengirim bola ke sudut kanan bawah gawang Damian Martinez, dengan tembakan kaki kiri dari tengah kotak penalti.
Semenit setelahnya, Arsenal memulihkan keunggulan empat gol, berkat Ignasi Miguel. Dengan kepalanya, ia membelokkan umpan silang Yennaris ke sudut kanan bawah gawang tim tamu.
Menjelang injury time, Arsenal mendapatkan gol keenam dari Walcott. Setelah melewati seorang pemain lawan, Walcott mengirim bola ke sudut kiri bawah gawang dengan tendangan kaki kanan.
